Our Strength : Merchandising, Purchasing & Web-based MRP/EDP System
Alfred International believes in the local buying policy that could help the company in producing high quality watches to customers at direct factory prices. This policy has been adopted since the start-up of our factory in China in 1986.

Coupled with a highly organized, easily accessible, user-friendly and open Web-based MRP and Engineering Database systems, New Products Development and Order Processing flows and tracking at Alfred International is efficient, easy and supports collaborative efforts.

Local Merchandising & Purchasing Policy

The strong merchandising and purchasing team established in China is responsible for procurement of all spare parts and materials direct from suppliers in Mainland China. The procurement team sources and purchases the raw materials to semi-finished product from different provinces of China from Shenzhen (Southern China) to Zhe Jiang (Mid-Western China). This purchasing policy supports Alfred International in purchasing high quality materials at best bargaining power.

Alfred International maintains a highly efficient Merchandising team in Hong Kong office. Market research and design inspiration trips are conducted periodically by our Designers in Europe, USA and Japan, which allows our company to capture the world’s latest fashion and lifestyle trends. We also maintain a dedicated buying team responsible to procure movements directly from suppliers in Japan and Switzerland to minimize the cost incurred through middlemen.

Web-based MRP & Engineering Database Systems

Alfred International is currently upgrading its existing MRP System by developing its own Web- based MRP. Since the system is web-based, it can be accessed anywhere and by any authorized users. Aside from the usual internal MRP processing, the system is aimed to achieve interactive collaboration between Alfred, Alfred Suppliers and Customers.

Despite being an ISO9001 certified company, Alfred is taking further steps to enhance its Documentation Control and New Products Development process by creating a Web-based Engineering Database and/or Data Information Management System. The system will automate most of the documentation processes in product development including its creation, distribution and archiving. The system will also support concurrent engineering during New Products Development process.
